Preface
3M came out with the Post-it note many years ago, and have only changed a few things different with them. Colors and sizes, thats about it...until now. I guess people were having issues with Post-its loosing their stick after a while or not sticking very well. 3M proudly introduced the Super Sticky Post-it Note.

Being a skeptic, I wanted to see just how sticky these suckers are. So I hit up the Office Max and purchased a 3 pack of the Super Sticky Post-it Notes. I received blue, purple, and classic yellow. Purple, being my lease favorite of the colors was subjected to what I am guessing is the most extreme test of Super Sticky Post-it Notes so far. Yep thats right, I stuck it to my sunroof on my '00 Mitsubishi Eclipse on January 3rd 2004.

Did I mention that I live in Minnesota? And it is cold, warm, snowy, and rainy all in the course of 24 hours sometimes? This Post-it is going to go through hell, frozen hell. Oh yeah, I will be referring to the Post-it as Prince throughout this little history. Why? Well, a purple Post-it, 3M being a Minnesota company and me being from here also it just made sense.

01.03.04 (Day 1)
So I cleared off a nice spot on the sunroof. My car was pretty dirty so I thought I would give Prince a fair trial by using my hand and rubbing some of the dirt off. I took this picture when I got home from Office Max. So he made it home at least.

01.03.04
Another picture for your enjoyment. Oh and a few notes about the ride home. Prince held fast on the freeway when I hit 65 so I pushed it a little faster. Note: If you are a police officer reading this, I only go the speed limit and will now be lying. Note to everyone else: This is all true. So I put it into 5th and pushed the pedal a little. 70, 75, 80...Still there...90, 95...Oh come on, it should be gone by now...100, 110...Okay I guess it is pretty sticky. Slowing down and now home. Huh, still looks like he is holding tight.

01.20.04
A little snow and a lot of wind. Prince is still there after 17 days. By this point he was already causing mild annoyance. Everyone who saw it commented on it. "Did ya know that you have something stuck to the top of your car?" Then I had to explain about what I am doing. The first 10 times it was alright but 3 times a day after 17 days...no.

02.03.04 (Month 1)
That first dusting of snow melted, the Post-it stayed. Now it rained and then froze, then snowed about 8 inches. Yep, Prince is hangin' though. It is a little tough to see, part of it is sticking up from underneath the ice coating.

02.03.04
Another view of that sucker. You can see the wind marks in the snow from "driving the it off". If you are not from a northern state/country(for our International readers) and don't know about "driving snow off" it goes like this. You clear off your windows and hit the freeway on your way to work/school/etc. As the snow blows off your car, the cars behind you get stuck in a mobile blizzard. It is cool to drive with it on, but never cool to drive behind. It is a safety nightmare, but fun. Semi trailers are the worst, they don't even think about clearing them off.

03.10.04
It rained a little today, the Post-it is still wet, I did drive with it this wet and Prince stayed on just fine. At this point you can see some of the minor tears in the Post-it. It now makes this really nice flapping noise after I hit 35MPH. At least the Infinity stereo system can cover the sound of the Post-it. You can actually see the logo on the back side of the Post-it because of how wet it is.

03.21.04 (Day 81)
You can see some of the tearing in the Post-it in the next three pictures. After 81 days of abuse it was bound to happen. Poor Prince.

03.21.04
It's a little windy out today, about 10MPH out of the West.

03.21.04
In this picture that was taken from the inside of my car, you can see the dirt line where the sticky meets the not so sticky.

End Notes
The only reason I took Prince off was because I needed to get a carwash and I know it wouldn't of survived that in the condition it was in. Right now the Post-it is on my visor mirror, I don't know what to do with it now. :)
